ボクは坊さん。
愛媛県今治市にあり、弘法大師空海が開いたとされる四国八十八カ所霊場の第57番札所、栄福寺で生まれ育った進。彼は高野山の山上都市にある高野山大学で修業し、僧侶としての資格である“阿闍梨（あじゃり）”の位を得て実家に戻ってくる。髪も伸びて地元の書店で働きだした進だったが、祖父が病に倒れたことを機に自分の進むべき道を定めた彼は光円と改名し、住職としての活動を始める。だが、新生活は思わぬことばかりだった。
